Bereavement Support Group
The Bereavement Support Group meets every Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30 pm in the Counseling Center at Long Beach Medical Center. The group offers assistance to individuals dealing with the death of a family member or loved one. All sessions are led by a mental health professional. Breast Cancer and Breast Health Support Group
Led by a Registered Nurse, the group offers support, guidance and education on the emotional and psychosocial aspects of coping with breast cancer, its impact on the individual as well as the family, and information on topics such as: understanding your diagnosis, treatment options, chemotherapy, radiation, pain management, exercise, nutrition, stress management and more.
Meetings are scheduled on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 7:00 PM in the Hospital’s Employee Dining Room (Lower Level). Sessions are appropriate for newly diagnosed individuals, survivors and previvors. All are welcome! For more information, call Breast Health Services at (516) 897-1344.

Diabetes Education and Support
The Diabetes Education and Support group is facilitated by a Registered Dietitian who is also a Certified Diabetes Educator. Gambling Anonymous
Gamblers Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from a gambling problem. Meetings are held each Monday at 7:30 pm in Conference Room D at Long Beach Medical Center, 455 E. Bay Drive, Long Beach. For more information, call 897-1250. Long Beach Medical Center is a certified provider of gambling addiction treatment services by the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS).
Gam-Anon
Gam-Anon meetings, a self-help program for the family members, friends and loved ones of compulsive gamblers, are held each Monday at 7:30 pm in Conference Room C at Long Beach Medical Center, 455 E. Bay Drive, Long Beach, NY. For more information, call 897-1250.
