Volunteers Serve Our Patients and Staff

Long Beach Medical Center’s Volunteer Corps are essential members of our healthcare delivery team.  We value their helping hands and open hearts.

The volunteer program consists of both adult and teen volunteers who help in numerous ways.  They fill a variety of positions, ranging from patient care services to clerical duties.

Whether working directly with patients or in a non-patient area, the services our volunteers provide contribute to our success in providing high quality care to our patients and their families.

As a volunteer, you will experience challenging and rewarding activities and in return, leave both satisfied and enriched.

Celebrating Our Volunteer Corps

Long Beach Medical Center honors its diverse volunteer corps with an annual celebration Dinner and Awards Ceremony.  Over 100 individuals attended the event last year.

Adult volunteers are recognized for their years of service and selected high school seniors are presented with scholarships toward their college education.

Long Beach community civic organizations and leaders also present special awards/proclamations honoring outstanding service by both high school and adult volunteers to Long Beach Medical Center.
