Long Beach Medical Center serves as the major health care facility for residents of Long Beach Island and the surrounding communities.  It hosts several centers of excellence, including these comprehensive Behavioral Health Services:.

 

•  The Counseling Center, for comprehensive outpatient mental health services.
• A 24-bed short-term adult inpatient Psychiatric Unit;
• Inpatient Detoxification Unit for alcohol and/or drug dependency;
• Outpatient alcohol and/or drug dependency treatment and support through FACTS (Family Alcohol and Chemical-substance Treatment Services);
• A licensed Methadone Maintenance Program;
• Gambling Addiction treatment services;
• Tobacco Addiction treatment and Smoking Cessation programs;
• We are the sponsoring organization for the Long Beach Medical Center Coalition to Prevent Underage Drinking, Marijuana and Tobacco Use.
