Our Treatment Philosophy

 

Long Beach Medical Center’s methadone maintenance program is committed to the philosophy of Harm Reduction and a holistic approach that addresses mind, body and spirit.  Opiate Addiction is a disease that can be treated with counseling and pharmacotherapy.  We have 35 years experience helping chronically addicted patients stabilize their lives and begin their pathway to recovery. 

 

Our Treatment Team

Our treatment team includes a Medical Director, Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Administrative Director, Clinical Supervisor, New York State O.A.S.A.S. Credentialed Counselors, Registered Nurses who are certified in addictions; and a Director of HIV/AIDS & Related Services.

We also offer specialized services addressing the needs of pregnant women and patients affected by HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis.  We are affiliated with New York State Committee of Methadone Program Administrators (COMPA); Advocates for the Integration of Recovery and Methadone (AFIRM); and many community-based organizations.

Location

 

 

We are located across from the main entrance of Long Beach Medical Center at 455 E. Bay Drive in Long Beach, NY.  Our location is between the Outpatient Parking Lot and the Staff Parking Lot. 

Insurance and Fees

 

Medicaid and private insurance are accepted. We also offer a sliding scale fee for those with no insurance.   If you have questions about your specific insurance coverage, please contact (516) 897-1330. 

Accreditation and Licensure

 

 

Long Beach Medical Center is accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) and is licensed by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) and the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).
