Long Beach Medical Center’s psychiatric care unit offers short-term, comprehensive psychiatric care to adults ages 18 through geriatric. With its beautiful waterside setting and calming views of Reynolds Channel, this designated unit offers a tranquil place for healing.
Our Staff
Our specialized staff includes board-certified psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric nurses, social workers, mental health therapists, recreational therapists, and other professionals who are experienced in treating various psychological disorders with compassion and respect.

We're Hospital-based
The 24-bed inpatient psychiatric unit at Long Beach Medical Center is hospital-based, offering the full continuum of medical resources, if necessary.
Our Aftercare Programs Offer Continued Support
Following inpatient treatment, the Medical Center offers supportive outpatient services through its Counseling Center, which is also located on the hospital’s campus. We also offer home care services through our certified
Home Care Agency. Our Home Care nurses are specially-trained in psychiatric services.
