The Orthopaedic Center of Excellence has been jointly established by Long Beach Medical Center and Hospital for Joint Diseases/NYU Langone Medical Center, setting new standards for orthopaedic patient care, comfort and convenience.
A formidable Orthopaedic Team
Hospital for Joint Diseases (HJD) surgeons, Jorge Baez, MD, a joint replacement specialist and Anthony Petrizzo, DO, a spine surgeon, have joined the staff at Long Beach Medical Center (LBMC) and will treat patients in their new office located on the campus of Long Beach Medical Center.
Likewise, LBMC’s orthopaedic physicians, Jay Eneman, MD, general orthopaedist and Benjamin Uh, MD, specializing in sports medicine and foot and ankle replacement surgery, have joined the staff at the HJD.
Together, this team of accomplished surgeons leads the Orthopaedic Center of Excellence at Long Beach Medical Center, where each patients’ needs will be seamlessly coordinated with the support of LBMC’s rehabilitation team.
Supporting the Orthopaedic Center service is Long Beach Medical Center’s renowned rehabilitation services, which include:
- The John B. Cullen Rehabilitation Unit, a 24-bed unit dedicated to acute rehabilitative care
- The Komanoff Center for Geriatric and Rehabilitative Medicine, offering short-term rehabilitation and long-term care.
- Long Beach Medical Center’s certified Home Health Care Agency, offering restorative therapies in the home
- Full-service outpatient programs in physical, occupational and speech therapies.
